InQueue Privacy Policy
Avalon Holdings Corporation and its affiliated companies use InQueue as an internal business application for company work management, operational communication, asset management, checklists, requests, preventative maintenance, and related administrative workflows. This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, disclosed, retained, and protected when authorized users access InQueue through the mobile app, web app, or related services.
Who may use InQueue
InQueue is intended for authorized company personnel, contractors, and other approved business users. It is not intended for the general public or for children under 13.
Information we collect
Depending on the user's role, permissions, device settings, and the features used, InQueue may collect or process:
- Account and profile information, such as name, username, email address, phone number, company, team, role, assigned location, and permission settings.
- Authentication and security information, such as login status, session tokens, account activity, and audit records.
- Operational records entered into the app, including work orders, requests, checklists, preventative maintenance tasks, assets, locations, companies, notes, comments, conversations, status changes, timestamps, and attachments.
- Files and media that users choose to upload, including photos, documents, QR codes, barcodes, and related metadata.
- Camera access, when permitted by the user, to scan QR codes or barcodes and to capture work-related images selected by the user.
- Approximate or precise location information, when permitted by the user and required by an enabled workflow, to support location-based operational records, assignments, verification, or reporting.
- Notification and messaging information, including push notification tokens, notification preferences, delivery records, email addresses, and phone numbers used for company communications.
- Device, browser, and diagnostic information, such as device type, operating system, app version, IP address, crash data, error logs, and usage events needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, and support InQueue and its business workflows.
- Authenticate users, enforce permissions, and protect company systems and data.
- Create, assign, route, update, and report on operational records.
- Send work-related notifications, reminders, emails, SMS messages, and in-app communications.
- Troubleshoot issues, monitor reliability, improve performance, and maintain audit trails.
- Comply with legal, regulatory, security, and company recordkeeping obligations.
How information is shared
Information in InQueue is shared only as needed for company business purposes. It may be available to authorized administrators, managers, support personnel, assigned users, and affiliated company personnel based on role and permission settings.
We may also share information with service providers that help operate InQueue, such as hosting, database, email, SMS, push notification, analytics, storage, security, and technical support providers. These providers are permitted to process information only for the services they provide to us. We may disclose information when required by law, legal process, security investigation, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of users, the company, or others.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use information collected through InQueue for third-party advertising.
Third-party services
InQueue may use third-party infrastructure and communication services, including services for application hosting, databases, cloud messaging, push notifications, email, SMS delivery, file storage, monitoring, and diagnostics. For example, Google Firebase Cloud Messaging may be used to deliver push notifications to mobile devices.
Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide InQueue, support company operations, maintain security and audit records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may vary by record type, business need, and company policy. Authorized administrators may update, archive, or delete records according to applicable company procedures.
User choices and permissions
Users may control device permissions, such as camera, location, and notifications, through their device settings. Some features may not work correctly if required permissions are disabled. Users may also contact their company administrator to request access, correction, export, restriction, or deletion of information associated with their account, subject to company policy, legal requirements, and operational recordkeeping needs.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information in InQueue against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure. These safeguards include role-based access controls, authentication, encryption in transit where supported, audit records, and operational monitoring. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we work to protect company and user information appropriately for the nature of the service.
International access
Information may be processed in the United States or in other locations where the company, its affiliates, or service providers operate. By using InQueue, authorized users understand that information may be processed in those locations for the purposes described in this policy.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to InQueue, company practices, legal requirements, or service providers. When we make changes, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of InQueue after an update means the updated policy applies.
